Best dressed :: 2012 Oscar Awards

Understated elegance + glamour would be the words to describe the best dressed stars at last night's 84th Academy Awards. I thought Gwyneth Paltrow stole the show in her all-white, floor length Tom Ford gown, which was complemented beautifully with glittering Anna Hu jewellery.

Here are my favourite picks...

{Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford + Anna Hu}

{Rose Byrne in Vivienne Westwood}

{Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli}

{Cameron Diaz in Gucci}

{Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton}

Who wore your favourite look of the evening?

Rachel xo

P.S The blog makeover has suffered some technical glitches so no new design as yet, but stay tuned!

  4. It's the first time ever that I thought Gwynnie looked good!

    Emma's gown swamped her IMO. Rooney (not pictured) was my stand out of the night.

    Such fun! x

  8. Michelle Williams blew me away as usual - feminine, pretty, and interesting! Is it just me or did Rose Byrne look a little scary skinny?

  9. I still can't say who was my favorite, there were a lot of really gorgeous looks! Indeed Gwyneth stole the show and I absolutely adored Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton. Elizabeth Banks surprised me very much too. Kate Bosworth in Prabal Gurung at the Vanity Fair part was mindblowing!

  11. I loved Gwyneth! And to answer your question on the sparkly flat sandals they are from J.Crew via ebay. I missed out when they went on sale and then they quickly sold out. Thank goodness for ebay.

  13. I chose Michelle Williams in the gorgeous persimmon Louis Vuitton and Gwyneth Paltrow in that oh so elegant Tom Ford column - the detail at the bust and that cape were divine. Two different vibes but done so well. Emma Stone look so cute in her gown and up close her face was beaming and Rooney Mara in the Givenchy was just a bit of edgy glamour that the Oscars needs. I agree with Sarah at Chevron and Stripes, Rose Byrne looked to scary skinny... not to mention Angelina - now that was scary skinny! I haven't seen any pics of after parties so am off to dissect that now... have a great day! x

  16. Milla Jovovich, Rooney Mara, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie were my favourites, Octavia Spencer too. Well, I thought there were many wonderful gowns on the red carpet but sometimes they simply didn't look all that good on the women wearing them.
