{Happy Friday} What inspired me this week

Happy Friday my dears! Phew, so glad this week is over and finally the weekend is here. I only hope it warms up here in Sydney and stops raining, that would be very nice indeed.

So much inspiration in  blog land this week, but here is what really caught my eye...

Entry hallways are on my mind at the moment as I am trying to spruce up ours at the moment. I love these two - so simple but styled to perfection.

Swooning over this home office, I can't resist the ghost chairs....And this kitchen...Stunning!

This wallpaper is quite beautiful and I love how well the Louis Chair seamlessly fits into the decor.

What caught your eye this week?

Real Living {Renovation Perfection}

Have you seen this month's issue of Real Living? Featuring in it is a fabulous renovation on a Melbourne semi, owned by Katie and Mick.I love, love what they have done and will be using this as inpsiration for our kitchen and bathroom renovations.

The neutral colour scheme in the living room is stunning. I really like how Katie and Mick clevery mixed big ticket pices of furniture such as the couch and the vintage Smeg fridge with inexpensive (but equally fab) IKEA pieces.

The kitchen is all from IKEA and you could never tell - it looks amazing!

We're thinking for our new kitchen we will go for IKEA as well. After reading about so many people's experiences with renovations its really beginning to emerge that unless you are in your dream home, there is no need to go all out for renovations as the re-sale value of the house won't justify the expense.

I love the nifty storage solutions including the mirror, serving as a place to keep cosmetics, and the open wooden shelving. The subway sign-style artwork adds an almost industrial feeling to the bathroom. Noteworthy are the taps - these are Rogerseller and were a major splurge for Katie & Mick, but they look fab so completely worth it!

What's your favorite room in Katie & Mick's renovation?

{Happy Friday} What Inspired me this week

Happy Friday loves! I am eagerly awaiting the weekend, it cannot come fast enough!

Our puppy Ruby has provided us with many hours of entertainment this week; she is adorable right now and her and Charlie are inseparable which is lovely. Ruby seems to copy everything Charlie does - Charlie has a favorite spot, perched up on top of our couches, so now Ruby has taken to doing this as well. It is crazy cute!

Each Friday I thought I would do a weekly round up of my favorite things that inspired me this week...I hope you enjoy!

This living room is exquisite. I adore the Louis style chairs, the elegant animal print ottoman and the splash of colour the lovely fresh roses bring to the room.

Seeing this dressing table gave me the much needed inspiration to finish our bedroom. As we speak I am bidding for a gorgeous vintage dressing table, similar to this, which I plan on revamping if I win - fingers crossed!

I love how glamorous and not too over-the-top-girly this bathroom is!

Saving the best until last, I love everything about this dining setting - the black and white, the floorboards, the lamp shade, the high-gloss table and of course the beautiful chandelier.

What about you? Did anything catch your eye this week that made you go "Wow!"?

{Green With Envy}

Lately I have seen a 'green' trend floating around and I must say, I am quite taken by this colour. So many lovely shades all of which create a completely different feel to a space.

{olive green} is soft and feminine, creating a sense of
calm and peacefulness.

Whereas {asparagus green} is rather stately and refined.

{jade green} on the other hand is bright, bold
and definitiely brilliant.

Which green takes your fancy?

I'm quite taken with asparagus green myself!

Antique Hunting {Vintage Mannequins}

I am putting the finishing touches on our bedroom right now and one of the things I am looking for to complete the room is a beautiful vintage mannequin to hold jewellery.

I love the idea of displaying jewellery in an interesting/quirky way and have seen a few ideas, including these two shots, to fuel my inspiration.

I'm thinking an antique-hunting road trip is on the horizon!

Hope you're having a fun-filled week lovelies.

Love Her Style {So French, So Chic}

Can I just say how much I adore this chic French look? I love the textured effect of her outfit with the lace dress, mixed with the straw bag and vintage hat. Has me dreaming of Summer holiday in Paris...

I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far lovelies. I am enjoying the cooler weather and most definitely using it as an excuse to rug up, stay indoors and catch up on episodes of The City. A blissful Saturday indeed!

A Danish Summer Escape

Whilst dreaming about a warm European Summer (anything to escape the cold which has descended onto Sydney), I came across this delightful Damish summer house which has most definitely lifted my spirits!

The glorious light that fills this home gives such a sense of warmth and the cool grey tones are heavenly and rather soothing.
The kitchen is just a delight - the pop of pink flowers are a lovely touch and I do fancy those industrial lamp shades!

How has your week been lovelies? Only more day till the weekend;
I can't wait.

Oh So Lovely {Shades of Blue}

Hello lovelies! How has your weekend been? Mine has been wonderful, spending time with friends, cooking up a storm and long walks with our darling pooches.

Of late I have consistently been blown away by captivating blue interiors. I never thought blue was a colour I would consider in my own home, and I'm still not sure it is, but I can most definitely appreciate these beautiful rooms! Here are some that have caught my eye...
